Nose: Lots of sherry and Macallan character. Cocoa, coffee, hints of smoke, bittersweet, hay, earth.Palate: Sultana, thick and chewy, hints of smoke, spices, nutmeg, musty, deep.
Finish: Good finish, all on sherry, mellows and fills the palate.

Product Information
This fascinating 50 year old Speyside single malt was distilled on the 1st January 1940 and matured at the Macallan distillery, in casks 3, 5 and 7, for 30 years before being moved to a Gordon & MacPhail warehouse in Elgin, where it was laid to rest for a further 20 years.An incredibly rare specimen that was bottled in the early 1990’s for the vintage Speymalt series and comes complete with a stunning presentation case, COA and tasting notes.
